October is the month to get ready — not November or December. Start talking to your clients now about booking ahead for Thanksgiving, holiday parties, Christmas and New Year’s.

If you live in Newton, Rockdale, or DeKalb County, you probably know how tough it can be to find affordable medical care—especially if you don’t have insurance. That’s where Willing Helpers Free Clinic steps in. Since 2006, this incredible nonprofit has been a safety net for neighbors throughout our area, welcoming anyone in need with open arms and expert care.

Dress codes or appearance policies allow you to set expectations regarding the image of your business and your services. Dress codes can be formal or informal, as long as they're consistent.

Implementing a dress code in your salon will help radiate professionalism.

We recently invested another $4,100 in air-conditioning repairs at our Eastside location in Mimosa in Conyers. We appreciate everyone's patience during the summer heat. Maintaining and improving our properties is an ongoing commitment, and we’ll continue investing where needed to provide a professional, comfortable environment for you and your clients. 🎄 The Holidays Will Be Here Before You Know It For all of our Mimosa professionals: now is the time to start planning for the holiday season. First and foremost, thank God for air conditioning! It may be one of the greatest modern conveniences we sometimes take for granted. Let's all be thankful for the comfort it provides during these hot summer days. 💧 Stay Hydrated Please remember to drink plenty of water throughout the day. As beauty professionals, it's easy to get busy and forget to take care of ourselves. Keep a water bottle nearby and sip often—you'll feel better, have more energy, and stay at your best for every client. 🥤 Create a Great Client Experience Little touches make a big difference. Consider offering your clients something cool to drink when they arrive, such as: Chilled bottled water Sparkling water Iced tea Lemon water A small refreshing beverage A simple gesture like this creates a memorable experience and shows your clients how much you appreciate them. 📋 Business License Reminder If you have not yet obtained your City of Covington (or applicable local municipality) business license , please make this a priority.
