Happy New Year Everyone!

I hope you all had a safe and New Years Eve and New Year! 

Happy New Year to you all. I hope that the new year 2020 will bring to you and your family full of happiness, good health and prosperity, and great success. We had some turnover over the new year, but we are seeing the numbers we expected. However, we are developing a great set of really happy and successful tenants now and they will continue to grow and learn!

Spotlight on ... 

The security on the front door of our building is extremely important to us, as is your safety. That is the one and only reason we invested in such a high tech entry system. Inside Mimosa Stonecrest we are facilitating 25 individual stylists, estheticians, and MUA's, all of whom, work very hectic and irregular hours during the week. 

However, management has been informed that on more than once occasion, the front door has been left propped open, allowing access to the general public. 

Since then, all facility cameras have been checked and reviewed.

To prevent any additional fees or fines being assessed on your account, please, avoid propping the door open for it is a serious safety hazard and puts not only your business, but everyone else's business and well-being in harms way.

Hey Mimosa Family, Hope everyone is enjoying the last stretch of summer and settling into September! We’ve got a few important updates and reminders to keep things running smoothly for all. Facility Updates Let’s start with the big one: HVAC repairs. This summer was a scorcher, and keeping everyone cool and comfortable didn’t come cheap. We’ve invested over $9,000 in HVAC maintenance and repairs these past few months. While we’re happy to keep the space feeling good, it does mean we need to hit pause on the second half of the flooring project for now. We appreciate your patience and understanding—our plan is to circle back to the flooring as soon as it makes sense financially. Happy Hot Summer from Mimosa Salon Suites Stonecrest! We hope you’re enjoying the sunshine and staying cool as we roll through another Georgia summer. There’s a lot going on—both in the world and here at Mimosa—and we wanted to share some important updates. HVAC Update & Rent Transparency First, thank you for your patience as we’ve dealt with the recent HVAC challenges. We want you to know that one reason our rents are so affordable is because of our triple net lease. In short: the landlord handles the building’s structure and roof, but Mimosa is responsible for everything else, including maintaining and repairing the HVAC systems. When we first moved in, our HVAC units were in great shape, but a 2020 law banning R22 refrigerant has made maintenance much tougher and more expensive. Completely replacing the units would cost up to $60,000—a huge investment for buildings we don’t own, and one that would make it impossible to keep rent as low as they are now. The good news: Conyers is 100% right now and at Stonecrest three out of four units are working, and the suites are holding steady at a comfortable 72 degrees. By Monday, we expect all four to be running strong, so we’re optimistic we’ll make it through the summer without a major replacement. We’re committed to keeping you informed and to keeping rents affordable. We will not raise rents unless there’s absolutely no other choice. Brighter Days for the Economy On a happier note, we’re seeing some positive trends in the economy. More jobs are opening up, some costs (like some food and other costs) are finally coming down, and business confidence is ticking upward. That means more opportunities for everyone in our salon community—whether you’re growing your client base or just enjoying a little less pressure on your wallet. 🌟 Update from Mimosa Salon Suites Stonecrest! 🌟 This month at Mimosa Salon Suites, we’re seeing record-breaking temperatures roll in just as July 4th festivities approach. In this edition, we’re sharing our top tips for staying cool and celebrating safely, so you can enjoy the holiday and the summer heat without worry. Top Tips for Staying Cool This July: Drink plenty of water throughout the day, even if you’re not thirsty. Wear lightweight, loose-fitting clothing and a wide-brimmed hat if you’re outdoors. Try to stay indoors during the hottest parts of the afternoon. Use fans or air conditioning whenever possible. If you’re headed to a barbecue or outdoor event, pack a spray bottle with cold water for a quick cool-down. Don’t forget sunscreen and take breaks in the shade.
