Spotlight on ... the Facilities Team!


Our facilities team is crucial to our company’s success and we would like to spend some time highlighting members of the team. This week, and some of you may already know him very well, we introduce Stephen Gaines.


Steve joined the Mimosa team way back in 2009 and wears many hats as our Assistant Property Manager. Steve is our very own, extremely skilled and capable, “Mr. Fix It.” He is always willing to help and has been known to go above and beyond expectations more times than we can count. 


While he is an extremely skilled laborer and can pretty much handle any devolving situation, he is also a very creative person as well. When he is working, he is working in his very own music studio where he helps others create beats. He is very important to the continued success of our team and we value and appreciate his hard work and dedication. 


We are very thankful to have Steve as a part of the facilities team and the Mimosa Family!


On Time Rent Payments


We congratulate all of the tenants who has been on time every week in themonth of May. This group of 20 individuals fulfilled their business and moral obligations, and we would like to take a moment to show our appreciation. Make Mimosa Great Again! I won't lie to you. Between COVID, Joe Biden and Larry Covington, Mimosa has paid a great price to continue to help as many people as we can. We are finally getting things back to normal and making many improvements. We're thrilled to share some exciting progress at Mimosa Salon Suites! Our renovation journey is well underway, with the flooring installation now almost halfway complete. Walking through the space, we can already envision the elevated experience that awaits you! While we're working hard to minimize any disruption to your services, we can't help but get excited about what's coming next. Stay tuned for our June newsletter, where we'll reveal the completion of the flooring and share a sneak peek of our plans for the next improvements. Tiffany Myles, a beloved mother and passionate hairstylist who touched countless lives through her artistry and warm spirit, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. Her gentle hands and creative vision helped clients not just look their best, but feel their best. Throughout her years-long fight with cancer, Tiffany showed remarkable strength and grace, never letting her illness dim her bright smile or dampen her love for her craft. She continued styling hair as long as she could, finding joy in helping others feel beautiful even during her own difficult journey. As a mother, Tiffany's love knew no bounds. She approached parenthood with the same dedication and artistry she brought to her profession, weaving beautiful memories that will last a lifetime. Her creative spirit and nurturing nature made her not just a mother to her own children, but a maternal figure to many in her community. Those who sat in her styling chair knew they were in the presence of someone special - a woman who could transform not just hair, but spirits. Her salon was more than a place of business; it was a haven where stories were shared, friendships were formed, and everyone was family. Even in her final days, Tiffany's courage never wavered. She faced each challenge with determination and grace, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched, the beauty she created, and the love she shared so generously. She will be deeply missed by her children, family, friends, and the countless clients who became part of her extended family over the years. May she rest in Heaven and God Bless Her Soul. ~doug h

Big Challenges & Perseverance Dear Friends, We're excited to share some important updates about our ongoing facility improvements. Our top priority is ensuring you have the resources you need to provide exceptional service to your clients. Hot Water System Upgrade We're installing a new 50-gallon backup hot water heater with a recirculation pump system. This significant upgrade will: Deliver hot water faster to all suites Maintain consistent water pressure throughout the building Provide reliable backup capacity during peak usage Reduce water waste while waiting for hot water The recirculation pump is specifically designed to eliminate those frustrating wait times for hot water to reach your suite. This means you'll have instant access to hot water when you need it, allowing for more efficient scheduling and improved client experience. Flooring Update To properly complete the hot water system installation and ensure everything is working perfectly, we've adjusted our timeline for the planned flooring updates. The flooring project will now begin in [month, two months from now]. This slight adjustment allows us to focus on getting the water system exactly right - which we know is crucial for your daily operations. Thank you for your continued partnership. As we prepare for Valentine's Day, it’s the perfect time to harness the romantic spirit and boost your business with some creative sales strategies. Here are our top tips to help you make the most of this love-filled season: Valentine’s Day Packages: Bundle services that complement each other, such as a massage and facial, or a haircut and styling session. Offering these packages at a special rate can entice clients to indulge and treat themselves or a loved one. Partner with your neighbor to offer better packages! Gift Cards Galore: Encourage your clients to purchase gift cards as Valentine’s gifts. Promote them with a small discount or offer a bonus gift card for every purchase over a certain amount. New Year, New Floors: Exciting Updates at Mimosa Salon Suites Happy New Year to our wonderful Mimosa family! We're starting 2025 with some exciting news that will make our space even more beautiful and functional for both our suite owners and clients. Mark your calendars: This April, we're giving our floors a complete makeover. After years of faithful service (and countless services), our current flooring has earned its retirement. We're investing in flooring in the hallways that will not only look great but also provide better wear and tear for those many thousands of clients coming to the suites every year! The installation is planned to roll out in phases to minimize disruption to your business. We're working with our people to ensure the smoothest possible transition, with most work scheduled during off-peak hours. We'll share the detailed schedule and specific arrangements in our February newsletter. This flooring upgrade is just one of the improvements we have planned for 2025. We're thrilled to announce a major improvement coming to Mimosa Salon Suites of Stonecrest. In response to your feedback about noise levels from our neighbor Vybes restaurant, we're taking action. Suites 131 through 136 will be receiving professional soundproofing installations over the next couple of months. This upgrade will create a more peaceful, focused environment for both our beauty professionals and their valued clients. We understand that a serene atmosphere is essential for providing top-notch services, and we're committed to ensuring your workspace meets the highest standards of comfort.
